This calendar gives a total of 195 days (190 pupil days plus 5 INSET days). Following consultation Council agreed that the school year calendar 2012-13 does not include fixed closures for the religious holidays of Diwali, Guru Nanak and Eid (which in the school year 2012/13 fall on 19 August 2012 *(Eid-ul-fitr), 13 November 2012 (Diwali) and 28 November 2012 (Guru Nanak), but that governing bodies may choose to close after consulting with their communities
