Meetings and Open Mornings
PARENTAL INTERVIEWS
Interview evenings take place each term, giving teachers and parents the opportunities to discuss children’s progress. Parents have the opportunity to see their child’s work during the Spring Interviews.
Interviews last approximately ten minutes.
Appointments are arranged the previous week through an Interview letter, which needs to be returned to the child's class teacher.
PARENT OPEN MORNINGS
Each term parents have an opportunity to visit their child’s classroom on three occasions (for Literacy, Maths and Guided Reading) and observe a lesson taking place. It is not an opportunity for parents to discuss specific issues about their child but they can ask general questions about curriculum provision.
GENERAL PARENT MEETINGS
Each term parents have an opportunity to meet with the Headteacher, Deputy and Assistant Heads for a general meeting to discuss or raise any issues which concern them. This is open question and answer session which normally takes place in the evening to allow as many parents as possible to attend.
PARENTS’ NEWSLETTERS
At the end of every week Newsletters are sent to parents as a means of keeping families informed of school activities. It contains information on forthcoming events, holiday dates and ways in which parents can support the school. Each Year leader writes a section of the newsletter giving a brief description of what their classes have been doing.
