Barclay receives UNICEF award
On March the 2nd, a UNICEF Rights Respecting Schools assessor paid a visit to see how children understand the UNCEF rights of a child. The assessor was very impressed with what our children know about their rights and how these rights affect other children in the world.
This visit also provided the opportunity for children in Year 4 to present a cheque for four hundred and twenty - three pounds, which was raised by Year 4 on a fundraising day. The cheque was presented to the assessor during the golden book assessmbly, where children talked about children who had demonstrated different UNICEF rights.
